Optimization of distribution network and non-revenue water reduction through active pressure control

The project aimed at the optimization of the distribution network by reducing non-revenue water in 17 sub-sectors of Bogota (zone 4 district) through active pressure control.

The 2 mains activities of the project were:

Description of the WMI service

Update hydraulic model for 17 sub-districts:

Flow-pressure measurement campaign
Model calibration

Design, supply and install 17 active pressure control stations with permanent pressure logging:

Selection and sizing of 17 appropriate hydraulic pressure management control valves with hydraulically dampened switching between dual set points
Supply, installation and commissioning into service of 17 pressure management control valves (ND 3” to 8” with by-pass) and associated equipment, forming part of the pressure management chamber
