The joint venture composed of WMI (VINCI Construction Grands Projets), lead contractor with 70%, and engineering firm ConIngeniera has won the two works packages of a call for tenders launched by the water authority EMCALI for works and services relating to reducing losses of water, hydraulic sectorisation and the regulation of pressure in the city of Cali’s drinking water network.
The project, taking two years to implement, notably comprises the design and construction and/or maintenance of 35 hydraulic sectors, leak detection over 4,000 km mains, the renewal, in places, of 8,000 metres of pipes and the installation of 1,200 sector valves.
The aim is to save up to 15 millions cu. metres of drinking water a year.
