Commercial and technical performance improvement of the water supply system
Improving the Jamaican water supply network for stage 1: Laying of 6 km of DN600 pipes, upgrading 2 water-treatment stations (Sea View : 91,000 m3/d and Constant Spring : 191,000 m3/d), building of 2 storage tanks of 800 m3, laying of 40 km of galvanized pipes (DN 50, 80, 150 et 200).
The project is part of the contract of 50 millions € leaded by VINCI Construction Grands Projets in consortium with WMI.
The project aims are :
- refurbishing the main production and distribution facilities of the NWC in the Kingston Metropolitain Area
- increase the revenue of the NWC by doing a selective replacement of the utility’s domestic water meters
- technical improvement of several water supply networks (Kitson, Stony Hill, Ocho rios)
