WMI is mandated by the Bogota Water Company (EAAB) for the rehabilitation and optimization of the operation of 17 Active Pressure Control Stations in the zone 4 of the water distribution network of Bogota. The contract was signed on 26th December of 2014 for a period of 9 months.
WMI is mandated by the Pereira Water Company for a first phase of design/supply/installation of 30 measurement points for large customers of the drinking water network in Pereira. The project also includes the establishment of a mobile automated data reading and collection system for these consumers. Construction works are planned for a duration of 12 months up to December 2016.
WMI has been selected to perform an audit of the sewerage system of Koror. A campaign of flow measurements and quality analysis is carried out on wastewater, on 39 pumping stations, 7 points of the network, and at the wastewater treatment station so as to establish a hydraulic model for the network resizing. The service is carrying out as part of the Koror-Arai Sanitation Project.
In the framework of the DeveloPPP program, WMI in collaboration with GIZ carry out a diagnostic of physical losses on a pilot sector of the drinking water network of Yangon city in Thingangyun district (> 100 km). The services include the update of the cadastre of the network and the implementation of an innovative helium gas tracking method for detecting and locating physical leakage considering the intermittent supply of water and the low pressure on the network. Continuous training of technicians and managers of Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) is carrying out on the concepts and technologies to detect and reduce physical and commercial losses on the drinking water network of Yangon City.
